Locate Logan Release Records

To find someone released from Logan Correctional Center after a Richland County case, use Illinois state correctional records rather than the county jail roster. Logan is the sheriff-stated first IDOC destination for adult women committed from the Richland jail, but IDOC may later move a person elsewhere. The useful record follows state custody, institutional release to parole or mandatory supervised release, later supervision, and final discharge as separate events.

Logan Intake from Richland

The Richland County Sheriff's sentencing guidance identifies Logan as the initial IDOC destination for adult women committed from the county jail. This is a transfer between custodians, not a community release. The county transaction should identify when Richland custody ended and which agency received the person. After intake, the statewide IDOC profile is the primary source for location, sentence, institutional release, and discharge.

Logan is an intake route, not a promise of long-term placement. IDOC may classify and move someone later. An older Logan location can be accurate history while the current record names another prison, a work-release center, a parole district, or a discharged status. Save the access date with every result.

Confirm a Logan Release

Use the official IDOC search by last name, IDOC number, or birthdate. Compare full name, date of birth, and IDOC number before selecting a match. Read Offender Status and Location together, distinguish a projected date from an actual Parole Date, and review every sentence row.

  1. Confirm identity with more than a name.
  2. Record current status and location.
  3. Separate Projected Parole Date from actual Parole Date.
  4. Check all counts for Sentence Discharged values.
  5. Recheck for a later warrant, revocation, or return.

PAROLE, a parole-district location, and an actual date support release from prison to supervision. They do not prove final discharge. The date guide explains those fields, and the Richland release hub connects the county transfer with state records.

Give an IDOC number when known, former facility, conviction county, year received, and relevant dates. The IDOC contact page provides the current electronic route. County and state records are separate. Richland Corrections, 211 W. Market Street, Olney, 618-395-7483, jail@richlandcounty.illinois.gov, holds the earlier booking and transfer transaction.

The Richland court chronology is available through Judici court code IL080015J. A mittimus is the court's commitment document. It can explain why IDOC received someone, but it is not the executed transport record.

Logan Dates and Discharge

Projected Parole Date estimates institutional release to parole or mandatory supervised release. Projected Discharge Date estimates the later end of the full IDOC obligation. Both can change after sentence corrections, credit awards or loss, consecutive terms, absence, violation, or another order. Neither is a promised Logan exit.

An actual Parole Date with current PAROLE status documents the earlier event. Final discharge needs the complete current profile and every sentence row, or a relevant Prisoner Review Board early-final-discharge decision. One “Sentence Discharged: YES” row does not establish that all sentences ended.

Logan Supervision After Release

IDOC's Parole Division supervises parole and MSR. The separate Illinois Prisoner Review Board sets conditions, handles applicable old-law parole decisions, and decides violations. Most modern determinate cases do not depend on a discretionary parole vote. Sentence law supplies the institutional date while PRB sets conditions.

Pair current IDOC status with PRB revocation results when later events matter. A prior release remains true history even if a later warrant or revocation returns someone to custody. The IDOC Wanted Fugitives page is a current-status channel, not proof the original release never occurred.

Logan Search Scope Limits

The Richland sheriff list covers current county custody. It cannot verify Logan placement, a later IDOC move, or state discharge. VINELink may provide participating-agency events, but it is not the permanent IDOC archive. BOP and ICE cover different federal populations.

A no-result can reflect spelling, alias, processing delay, an older record, or the wrong system. Compare the mittimus, Richland transfer record, and IDOC profile. If public sources conflict, request written IDOC verification rather than interpreting disappearance as release.

Logan Sentence Record Fields

The IDOC sentence table connects Logan custody to the court record. It can list a case or mittimus, offense, class and count, custody date, sentence, conviction county, and a discharged value for each row. Review all rows. A completed count does not prove that every state sentence ended, and consecutive terms may affect the total date.

Compare those details with the Richland judgment. Judici court code IL080015J shows the public chronology, while Circuit Clerk Zachary Holder maintains the official file at 103 W. Main Street, Olney, 618-392-2151. The judgment explains commitment, the Richland transaction proves the county handoff, and IDOC documents reception and later placement.

A same-name match is not enough. Compare IDOC number, birthdate, middle name, physical details, conviction county, case number, and dates. Partial-name search can accommodate spelling variants but creates more possible matches. A photograph can assist comparison, yet it should not override contradictory identifiers.

For a blank result, preserve the search date and terms. State only that no matching public profile appeared. Reception delay, a surname change, alias, older record, correction, or another receiving agency can explain it. Verify the Richland transfer and contact IDOC before interpreting absence as a community release.

Logan Projected Date Limits

Illinois credit rules vary by offense and governing date. Some categories receive no sentence credit. Listed violent offenses generally have a 4.5-day-per-month cap, commonly summarized as about 85 percent served. Listed serious drug offenses may have at most 7.5 days per month, about 75 percent. Ordinary eligible determinate sentences may earn one day for each day served.

That shorthand is not a release calculator. Program and education awards, discretionary credit, pretrial custody, disciplinary loss or restoration, consecutive or concurrent structure, absence, new sentences, and court corrections can move the result. Statutory floors restrict reductions for certain offenses. IDOC records staff calculate and review the official dates.

Keep the labels intact. Projected Parole Date anticipates release from an institution to parole or MSR. Projected Discharge Date anticipates the later end of the state obligation. An actual Parole Date documents the first event, but current status must still be checked for a later revocation or return.

Logan Release Notification Checks

Illinois VINELink can add a participating-agency custody notice. Choose Illinois, locate the right person and agency, compare more than a name, and register from the matched record. Delivery choices can include phone, text, email, or app depending on the agency event. Telephone notices use a private four-digit PIN to confirm receipt and stop repeat calls.

An out-of-custody event is not a permanent Logan release ledger. It can lag or reflect movement to another institution. Confirm the event in the current IDOC profile. Since Logan is the sheriff-stated initial destination for adult women committed from Richland, a later profile may correctly identify a different facility.

For missing or disputed history, call IDOC at 217-558-2200 or write its Public Information Office. Provide the IDOC number, birthdate, conviction county, reception year, known locations, and date range. Request existing admission, transfer, sentence, parole/MSR, and discharge fields. The agency can then release available portions and identify any lawful redaction.

Logan Custody Event Timeline

Describe each event separately. Richland county custody first ends by transfer to IDOC. IDOC then receives and classifies the person, initially through Logan according to the sheriff's route. The department may later change placement. Institutional release to parole or MSR is another step. Final discharge from the total state obligation is later.

A historical release can be followed by a warrant, alleged violation, revocation, and return. State both facts with dates. Current IDOC status and the newest Prisoner Review Board material answer the present question. They do not make a prior actual Parole Date disappear.

Probation follows a separate local path. Richland County Probation supervises people ordered to probation by the circuit court, and there is no public county probationer search. A local jail component followed by probation may not create an IDOC record at all. Read the judgment before assuming Logan is the right system.

Logan Event Wording

Use precise event language in every note. A Richland transfer to IDOC, an institutional release to MSR, and final discharge are separate milestones. Cite the jail transaction for the first, the current IDOC profile for the second, and the full state record for the last. This keeps an initial Logan route from being mislabeled as freedom and gives families a reliable sequence to verify.
