Check Richland 24-Hour Releases

A Richland County 24 hour release list would answer who was released in the last 24 hours from the county jail. The sheriff does not publish that rolling list online. A same-day check therefore starts with the current jail feed, then moves to a VINELink event, direct jail confirmation, and a request for the existing release transactions. Each source answers a different question. A name leaving the current roster means Richland custody data changed, but it does not by itself prove release to the community.

Richland 24-Hour Release Records

No official Richland County page lists all releases from the prior day. The sheriff's inmate search is a live current-custody feed. Reviewed entries carry an IN custody code, booking date, identifiers, physical details, and an image. They do not carry an actual release time, release reason, receiving agency, or historical release archive. The county sitemap also showed no separate release-window route.

A person disappearing from that feed may have posted an eligible legacy bond, received pretrial release, completed time, transferred to IDOC, moved to another county, entered federal or immigration custody, or simply passed through a data correction. Those outcomes are not equal. Corrections staff and the underlying transaction record are the sources that can distinguish them.

Verify the event. A roster change or VINE status may lag processing and may describe a transfer, not release to the community.

Check Richland Same-Day Releases

Use a fixed Central Time interval. Write down both boundaries, such as the moment the check begins and the same moment one day earlier. That prevents confusion about midnight, processing time, and events close to the cutoff.

  1. Search the sheriff feed by name and save the search time, booking date, and inmate ID.
  2. Check Illinois VINELink for the same person and agency. Match more than the name.
  3. Call Richland County Corrections at 618-395-7483. Ask whether custody ended, the exact time and type, and whether another agency took custody.
  4. Submit the county records request for existing release transactions within the stated interval.
  5. Read the Richland case chronology on Judici for the legal order, while treating it as separate from the physical exit record.

For a single known person, the full source-by-source method appears on the Richland County released-inmate search. A same-day list request is different because it asks for all existing transactions in a time range.

Richland Release Fields to Request

Because no public list displays release fields, these are request targets, not claims about an online report. Ask for the native electronic export and the code definitions.

FieldWhat it resolves
Name and booking numberConnects the transaction to the correct jail stay.
Actual release timestampPlaces the event inside or outside the 24-hour interval.
Disposition codeIdentifies bond, court release, sentence completion, transfer, or another event.
Receiving agencyShows whether custody continued elsewhere.
Release documentIdentifies the order or authority used by Corrections.

Illinois FOIA generally gives a public body five business days for a noncommercial request, subject to a written statutory extension. The first 50 monochrome letter or legal pages are free; later pages may cost up to $0.15 each. Native electronic delivery may avoid paper cost.

Richland Release Fallback Chain

VINELink is useful for an event alert registered in advance. It is not a complete old release log. The sheriff website and app also draw from VINE data, so matching status on those screens is not independent confirmation. The jail transaction and court order supply a firmer record.

If Corrections says the person went to state custody, search the Illinois Department of Corrections after intake processing. Adult men are initially taken to Graham and adult women to Logan under the sheriff's sentencing information, but IDOC may later transfer them. Federal, ICE, and other-county transfers require the receiving system's locator. The Richland 72-hour release list process uses the same records route with a wider interval.

Richland Release or Transfer

A live sheriff entry with custody code IN is evidence of current listed custody. Removal only means the feed no longer lists that person. An actual jail release transaction supplies time, type, and destination. A Judici order can explain the legal basis but not the moment staff completed the exit.

IDOC status has its own terms. PAROLE, an actual Parole Date, and a parole-district location support release from an IDOC institution to supervision. They do not mean the full sentence has discharged. A BOP result marked released applies only to federal imprisonment, while ICE and DHS-VINE cover immigration custody.

Richland Roster Data Quirks

The sheriff feed exposes current records through a VINE-derived data source and supports name search and A-to-Z sorting. Its changing timestamp does not establish a promised refresh schedule. A short gap between staff action and the public display is therefore possible.

Keep the inmate ID, booked date, and search time. Same-name matches can mislead, and a photo should not override conflicting dates or identifiers. If no record appears, describe only that no matching public result was found at that time.

Richland Sheriff App Releases

The official Richland County Sheriff's Office app offers the configured inmate search and images. Research found no release module. The app is another view of the live feed, not a separate 24-hour archive.

That distinction matters on a busy release day. Agreement between app, sheriff site, and VINELink may come from the same upstream VINE event. Call Corrections or request the transaction before stating the type or destination of release.

Richland Court Events Today

The Richland Judici chronology can show a pretrial-release order, eligible legacy bond, dismissal, sentence, time-served credit, or commitment to IDOC. Those events explain legal authority, but the order time is not the physical exit time. Another case, warrant, or detainer may still prevent community release.

Search by case number where possible and read the complete chronology. If an abbreviated entry is unclear, request the filed order from the Circuit Clerk. Court records do not pass through county FOIA because the judiciary is excluded from that statute's public-body definition.

State findings separately: the court entered an order, and Corrections recorded a release or transfer. Combining the two without the jail transaction can turn a lawful court event into an unsupported claim about where the person went.

Richland Same-Day Record Requests

A narrow request should identify existing records rather than ask staff to research a story. Give the person's name and identifiers when known, or define the exact Central Time interval for a list. Ask for booking/release transactions, code definitions, authority documents, receiving agency, and releasable photo.

Illinois FOIA allows a written extension in specified cases and requires segregable portions to be released after exempt material is removed. Juvenile, sealed, personal, safety, source, and active investigative details may be withheld or redacted. A pending case does not make every arrest and release fact secret.

The county form is a documented fallback, but it is not labeled as a sheriff-only portal. Direct the same narrow request to Corrections. Electronic delivery reduces copy cost and preserves database fields better than a paper printout.

Richland Release Results Today

Write the final result with its source and scope. “Richland Corrections recorded community release at the stated time” differs from “Richland custody ended by transfer to IDOC.” If only the live list changed, say the person no longer appeared in that current feed at the recorded check time.

A later warrant or new booking does not cancel an earlier valid release. Preserve the sequence with dates. For an IDOC transfer, wait for intake and use the statewide record. For another county, BOP, or ICE, use the receiving system.

When no public result appears anywhere, call the jail and clerk, then request records. Possible causes include a spelling error, short booking, data lag, transfer, restricted record, sealing, or another agency's custody.

The live sheriff record can show full name, internal and inmate IDs, booked date, age, physical descriptors, image, and source codes. Save only what is needed to identify the booking. Those current fields are not substitutes for the missing release timestamp, release code, receiving agency, court authority, or property record.

Illinois arrest-information law supports asking for custody status and a photograph when available, but it does not create an online release archive. A same-day result should rely on the actual transaction and any releasable portions after redaction.

For a booking that disappears during the interval, preserve the prior inmate ID, booked date, source agency, and search time. Then ask Corrections whether the event was community release, transfer, correction, or another status change. If a receiving agency is named, continue in that agency's locator.

A same-day court dismissal can support the legal basis for release, but another hold may remain. State the dismissal and jail transaction as separate findings. This avoids turning an order into an unsupported claim about the exact exit time or final destination.

Richland IDOC Intake Changes

When the person enters IDOC, do not place a future projected date on a same-day release list. Wait for state intake, then distinguish an actual Parole Date from Projected Parole Date. A commitment transfer ends Richland custody, but it is not release from confinement.

The sheriff identifies Graham as the first adult-male route and Logan as the first adult-female route. IDOC may move the person later, so the statewide profile controls current state location. Record the Richland transfer time separately from the later IDOC admission, status, or institutional release date.
