Graham Intake from Richland
The Richland County Sheriff's sentencing guidance identifies Graham as the initial IDOC destination for adult men committed from the county jail. This is a transfer between custodians, not a community release. The county transaction should identify when Richland custody ended and which agency received the person. After intake, the statewide IDOC profile is the primary source for location, sentence, institutional release, and discharge.
Graham is an intake route, not a promise of long-term placement. IDOC may classify and move someone later. An older Graham location can be accurate history while the current record names another prison, a work-release center, a parole district, or a discharged status. Save the access date with every result.
Confirm a Graham Release
Use the official IDOC search by last name, IDOC number, or birthdate. Compare full name, date of birth, and IDOC number before selecting a match. Read Offender Status and Location together, distinguish a projected date from an actual Parole Date, and review every sentence row.
- Confirm identity with more than a name.
- Record current status and location.
- Separate Projected Parole Date from actual Parole Date.
- Check all counts for Sentence Discharged values.
- Recheck for a later warrant, revocation, or return.
PAROLE, a parole-district location, and an actual date support release from prison to supervision. They do not prove final discharge. The date guide explains those fields, and the Richland release hub connects the county transfer with state records.

Give an IDOC number when known, former facility, conviction county, year received, and relevant dates. The IDOC contact page provides the current electronic route. County and state records are separate. Richland Corrections, 211 W. Market Street, Olney, 618-395-7483, jail@richlandcounty.illinois.gov, holds the earlier booking and transfer transaction.
The Richland court chronology is available through Judici court code IL080015J. A mittimus is the court's commitment document. It can explain why IDOC received someone, but it is not the executed transport record.
Graham Dates and Discharge
Projected Parole Date estimates institutional release to parole or mandatory supervised release. Projected Discharge Date estimates the later end of the full IDOC obligation. Both can change after sentence corrections, credit awards or loss, consecutive terms, absence, violation, or another order. Neither is a promised Graham exit.
An actual Parole Date with current PAROLE status documents the earlier event. Final discharge needs the complete current profile and every sentence row, or a relevant Prisoner Review Board early-final-discharge decision. One “Sentence Discharged: YES” row does not establish that all sentences ended.
Graham Supervision After Release
IDOC's Parole Division supervises parole and MSR. The separate Illinois Prisoner Review Board sets conditions, handles applicable old-law parole decisions, and decides violations. Most modern determinate cases do not depend on a discretionary parole vote. Sentence law supplies the institutional date while PRB sets conditions.
Pair current IDOC status with PRB revocation results when later events matter. A prior release remains true history even if a later warrant or revocation returns someone to custody. The IDOC Wanted Fugitives page is a current-status channel, not proof the original release never occurred.
Graham Search Scope Limits
The Richland sheriff list covers current county custody. It cannot verify Graham placement, a later IDOC move, or state discharge. VINELink may provide participating-agency events, but it is not the permanent IDOC archive. BOP and ICE cover different federal populations.
A no-result can reflect spelling, alias, processing delay, an older record, or the wrong system. Compare the mittimus, Richland transfer record, and IDOC profile. If public sources conflict, request written IDOC verification rather than interpreting disappearance as release.
Graham Sentence Record Fields
The IDOC sentence table adds needed context to a Graham search. It can list the case or mittimus number, offense, class and count, custody date, sentence, conviction county, and whether that sentence is discharged. Read every row. One discharged count can coexist with another active term, and several consecutive terms may be combined for date calculation.
Compare those fields with the Richland judgment. Judici court code IL080015J provides the public chronology, while Circuit Clerk Zachary Holder maintains the official court file at 103 W. Main Street, Olney, 618-392-2151. A court mittimus explains the commitment. The Richland jail transaction documents the handoff, and IDOC documents reception and later movement.
Identity matching must be careful. A partial surname can find spelling variants but also increases false matches. Compare the IDOC number, full name, birthdate, physical details, conviction county, case number, and dates. A photograph may help a human compare records, but it should not override conflicting numbers or dates.
When no match appears, record the method and date. Say only that no matching public result was found. Intake lag, an alias, older data, correction, or a different custodian can explain the absence. Confirm the Richland handoff and ask IDOC for written verification before treating a blank screen as release.
Graham Credit Date Limits
Illinois sentence credit depends on offense and governing date. Some first-degree murder and terrorism categories receive no sentence credit. Listed violent offenses generally have credit capped at 4.5 days per sentence month, often described as about 85 percent served. Listed serious drug offenses may have at most 7.5 days per month, about 75 percent. Other eligible determinate sentences may earn one day for each day served.
Those percentages are only shorthand. Program credit, education awards, discretionary Director credit, pretrial custody, disciplinary loss or restoration, concurrent or consecutive structure, escape or absence, new sentences, and court corrections can move the official date. Statutory floors also restrict how far some terms can be reduced. IDOC staff perform and review the calculation.
Use the precise label displayed on the profile. Projected Parole Date anticipates institutional release to supervision. Projected Discharge Date anticipates the end of the overall obligation. An actual Parole Date is historical evidence that the earlier event occurred. Recheck the current status because later revocation can change custody without making the earlier release false.
Graham Release Notification Routes
Illinois VINELink can provide participating-agency custody events. Select Illinois, locate the correct person and agency, compare multiple identifiers, and register from the matched record. Available phone, text, email, or app channels depend on the event. Telephone registration uses a private four-digit PIN that confirms receipt and stops repeat calls.
An out-of-custody message is an operational notice, not the permanent Graham release record. It may reflect a transfer and can lag. Pair it with the current IDOC profile and written agency record. If a person moved to a different IDOC institution before release, Graham may remain only the original Richland intake route.
For an old or disputed result, contact IDOC at 217-558-2200 or write the Public Information Office. Supply identifiers, conviction county, year received, known facilities, and relevant dates. Ask for existing admission, location, sentence, parole/MSR, discharge, and transfer entries rather than asking staff to create a narrative.
Graham Release Chronology
A sound description preserves each stage. First, Richland custody ended by transfer to IDOC. Next, IDOC received and classified the person, possibly at Graham. Later, the person may have moved to another state institution. Institutional release to parole or MSR is another event, and final discharge is later still.
A wanted or revocation entry can follow a valid release. State both dated facts. The IDOC Wanted Fugitives page is the correct statewide public absconder channel found in the research, while PRB publishes revocation schedules and results. Neither should be used to erase the historical Parole Date.
Local probation is a different system. Richland County Probation supervises a circuit-court sentence in the community and has no public person search. A local jail term followed by probation may never create an IDOC record. Use the judgment first to decide whether Graham and IDOC are relevant.
Graham Event Wording
Keep the source labels in notes. Transferred to IDOC, released from an IDOC institution to MSR, and finally discharged are three different findings. Cite the Richland transaction for the first and the current state record for later events. Precise wording prevents a Graham intake from being confused with community release and preserves useful custody history for personal verification, court review, and family planning.
